*******CORRECTION!!!!!! OOPS! It turns out Rossini's birthday is 2/29/08 not 2/28/08. It was written that way on the Met calendar probably so they could put it on the calendar every year. Sorry, everyone!
It doesn't hurt that Rossini wrote at least 30 operas so we will not be lacking in material for his birthday tribute.
